Top 10 Quarterback's

Top Quarterbacks
Here are my projections for the Top 10 Quarterback's for the 2011 season.

#1 Philip Rivers- Before you stop reading and think I am crazy to put Philip Rivers as the number 1 Quarterback let me make 2 valid arguments. First, Philip Rivers has had 3 consecutive seasons with over 4,000 total yards and last year with 4,710 (check this stat) he had the most in the entire league. Second, Philip had no one to throw to with Vincent Jackson his number 1 wide receiver holding out all year, Antonio Gates injured and not playing in every game, Malcom Flyod and 3rd WR Legedu Naanee also had severe injuries as well.
Now you tell me what QB in the NFL can throw for the most yards and have 30 touch down passes with 3 starting wide receivers out, and your number 1 tight end out? The Chargers transitioned to an explosive pass first offense which means Rivers will be making a majority of the plays this season.

#2 Aaron Rodgers- With his shiny new Super Bowl ring and entering his prime years Aaron Rodgers is going to be a fantasy point gold mine. The Packers play pass first offense with the running back situation in a bind. Aaron Rodgers had 28 touchdowns last season and 3,922 total yards. With Greg Jennings and Donald Driver still in Green Bay the Packers will be looking for easy touch down passes.

#3 Tom Brady- The NFL's MVP last year had over 3,900 yards and 36 touchdowns last season even without the help of Randy Moss. Tom Brady and the Patriots always seem to win and have already started the preseason by completely obliterating their opponent. If Tom Brady and Chad Ocho Cinco find a flow for each other then the AFC is in some serious trouble.

#4 Michael Vick- Vick had a roaring comeback into the NFL last season with probably one of the best QB single game performance in the history of the NFL. On a Monday night Football game for all of America to see Michael Vick scored 4 touchdowns threw for 333 yards and ran for 80 yards (2 of them TD's). With the Eagles stacking their team with free agents such as Nnamdi Asomugha and Steve Smith you can bet that the Eagles are a Super Bowl favorite this year. Don't forget about Desean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin's dangerous speed either. From the way I see it Vick can easily score the most fantasy points this year.

#5 Peyton Manning- Every season Peyton seems to be in the top 5 QB's in the league. The reason I have him down at number 5 is because he is getting a little older every year and even though Bret Favre lasted to 41, not every Quarterback can do the same. If you like to play it safe however you can count on Manning to not miss a game and definitely be in the top 5.

#6 Drew Brees- Is the Who dey era over or is it just getting started? Drew Brees and the Saints kind of feel off last season and didn't produce the great results they had the year before. This does happen when you’re the returning Super Bowl champs because everyone wants to knock you out early. However with the running game a bit lacking you can count on the Saints to put the ball in Drew Brees' hands a majority of the season.

#7 Matt Ryan- I think this can be the breakout year for Matt Ryan. With RB Michael Turner coming off an injury and starting to run out of gas the Falcons are likely to go Pass heavy. Roddy White has emerged as a star wide receiver and is expecting to put up big numbers as well as the number 1 draft pick Julio Jones. If you didn't go with an early QB pick in the draft you might want to lock in Matt Ryan.

#8 Ben Roethlisberger- Now that Big Ben has learned his lesson (hopefully) he can start focusing on football. Even with his 6 games missed last year Ben made a decent fantasy option and made it all the way to the Super Bowl. As long as Mike Wallace and Hines Ward are on the field Ben Roethlisberger should be a solid draft pick.

#9 Matt Schaub- I am a bit skeptical of placing Schaub on this list because of how good RB Arian Foster is. There was no stopping the production of Arian Foster last season which means no need for Matt Schaub to do anything. Although if Arian Foster gets injured and can't play you can expect Schaubs fantasy value to go through the roof with arguably the best wide receiver in the league Andre Johnson at his disposal.

#10 Kevin Kolb- Even though Kevin Kolb has found a new home in Arizona he has the potential of having a fantasy relevant year. Kevin Kolb was a tough choice for the Eagles to let go because he was the starter for the team until Vick decided that he wanted to become one of the most dangerous QB's in the NFL. With Larry Fitzgerald's great catching ability and Kevin Kolbs arm there is a good chance these too can put up a lot of points.

There you have it, the Top 10 Quarterback Projections for the 2011 season. I did your homework for you yet again, you can thank me later.
